The 2nd Annual Enhancing Your Impact conference focuses on advancing the practice of behavioral health and evidence-based treatment throughout Northern California
The Behavioral Health Provider Network (the BHPN), a non-profit organization headquartered in Walnut Creek, is hosting its second annual Enhancing Your Impact Conference for continuing education in behavioral and mental healthcare.
Returning for its second year, the two-day virtual conference, held January 28-29, will be offered as a value-add for providers within its network. The conference will provide opportunities for its nearly 700 Board Certified Behavior Analysts and mental health practitioners in attendance to earn more than 14 continuing education units (CEUs) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® and, new this year, will also offer nine credits for mental health practitioners through the California Psychological Association.
Enhancing Your Impact will feature presentations from leaders in the fields of behavioral and mental health, including keynote presentations by Dr. Temple Grandin and Dr. Matthew Mock, as well as a special presentation by Dr. Patrick McGreevy. Presentation topics include autism rights, cultural humility and racial bias in behavioral health treatment, coaching strategies for parents of children with autism and more.
"Over the course of 2020 we learned a great deal about how quickly family needs can change, and that introducing new ways to deliver care via telehealth and parent training is critical to ensuring continuity, as well as offering families greater flexibility and independence," said Trent Iden, Senior Vice President of the BHPN. "Working closely with our provider partners, we’re thinking beyond today and helping families reach their long-term goals with progressive, outcomes-driven approaches to care that can integrate into their regular routines. Now more than ever, it’s also important for our practitioners to learn from industry thought leaders on timely topics that are shaping the future of person-centered, equitable and inclusive care."
