The Towner Residences Kallang/Whampoa BTO is an exciting project to look out for in the upcoming Aug 2021 BTO sales launch.
The estate features some of the most oversubscribed projects in its last two BTO launches in May 2019 and February 2021. In the last launch, 4-room flats had an application rate of up to 7.4.
For the August 2021 launch, the Towner Residences Kallang/Whampoa BTO project has the lowest number of flats among all the projects. The project comprises two residential blocks. One block offers 90 3-room and 226 4-room flats, while the other will comprise rental flats.

The prices for the Towner Residences August 2021 Kallang/Whampoa BTO flats are not too far off from those of the last launch in February 2021.
3-room and 4-room flats start at $336,000 and $500,000 respectively, excluding grants.
HDB units in Kallang/Whampoa command high resale values, typical of flats in mature estates. In the past 12 months, a 4-room flat was sold for as high as $715,000.

On the other hand, very few educational institutions are available in the vicinity. As such, students may have to travel further to go to school.
Furthermore, only 3-room and 4-room flats will be up for grabs in the Towner Residences Kallang/Whampoa August 2021 launch. Those with (or planning on) bigger families might want to consider balloting for other projects in Hougang or Tampines where 5-room flats will be available.
