US-based property consultancy JLL has announced a new Head of Research for Asia Pacific, effective from 1 October.

Dr Megan Walters has been promoted to lead JLL’s research department in the region, which comprises a team of over 160 researchers.

She will be based in Singapore and takes over from Dr Jane Murray, who is leaving the firm after 18 years to pursue new opportunities.

Dr Walters joined JLL in 2010 as Head of Research, Asia Pacific Capital Markets. In this role, she has been responsible for advising the firm’s investor clients and generating reports on office, retail and industrial real estate trends. She will continue to keep a lead research role in the Capital Markets business.

Said Dr Walters: “I am looking forward to the opportunity to find new and innovative ways to continue to meet our clients’ needs in this increasingly data-driven and technology-enabled world.”
