Hundreds of Arsenal fans protested outside the Emirates Stadium ahead of Friday evening’s match against Everton, demanding the Gunners’ owner, Stan Kroenke, leave the club following the European Super League debacle.

Supporters were left furious by the club’s involvement as one of the 12 founding members of a new Super League, though those plans - announced on Sunday evening - collapsed within 48 hours as the clubs involved were met with near-universal criticism.

Arsenal and the rest of the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ - Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Tottenham - all confirmed they would be withdrawing from the breakaway tournament on Tuesday evening.

While Arsenal swiftly apologised to fans for their part in proceedings, fans are demanding changes at the club with resentment against owner Kroenke rising.

With the Gunners hosting Everton in Friday night’s Premier League clash in north London, fans turned up outside the Emirates to make their feelings known, with some letting off flares in the streets around the stadium.

Hundreds of supporters were in attendance in the Friday evening sunshine, with a number waving banners against Kroenke’s ownership of the club and chanting ‘Kroenke out’.
