Alphatec: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) _ Alphatec Holdings Inc. (ATEC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $14.6 million in its third quarter.

The Carlsbad, California-based company said it had a loss of 26 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 22 cents per share.

The medical equipment and supplies holding company posted revenue of $29.2 million in the period.

Alphatec expects full-year revenue in the range of $109 million to $112 million.

Alphatec shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.19, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
