This article was originally on GET.com at: 8 Gigs In Singapore You Don't Want To Miss In 2016 - Dates Till September

Gigs in Singapore are a novelty for me simply because of sky-high ticket prices. But sometimes when a favourite band comes to town, I just can’t help but pay the price (pun intended). If you listen to music at all, then this article was made for you. There are some big names on this list, and while some of the acts haven’t confirmed their ticket pricing, it’s still worth knowing that they are coming to our shores.

I don’t know about you, but there is something about being in a concert and listening to live music that’s absolutely riveting. Here at GET.com, we’ve collated 8 gigs in Singapore that are happening this year, up to September at least, that have already been locked down for a show!

1. Of Monsters and Men

Yes, Of Monsters and Men is coming to town! The band that got famous for their debut single, Little Talks is currently doing their world tour. This Icelandic band with their cheery melodies and delightful voices managed to clinch to the number 1 spot on the on U.S. Alternative Songs chart.

2. Little Mix Get Weird World Tour

This all-girl group that broke into the music scene with their single called Wings. I like to think of them as the girl version of One Direction. All four girls auditioned for the X Factor UK individually and Simon thought it was a good idea to put them together, so here they are now, three albums later and a world tour.

3. Damien Rice

Okay, if his name doesn’t sound familiar, just listen to his most popular song, The Blower’s Daughter. Yes, he is that guy that sang that song. I promise you, this Irish singer-songwriter will be serenading you into a trance if you can get your hands on his concert tickets.

Nathan Hartono first debuted in 2005 when he released his first album, 'Let Me Sing!'. Okay, here’s why you need to get tickets to his gig. First, the guy can sing. Second, I mean just look at how cute he is! I’m sure the ladies can relate.

6. Selena Gomez Revival Tour

Okay, I still remember the days when Selena was on Disney Channel and now she’s about to go on a world tour. To be honest, she wasn’t the best live when she first started singing but after her performance at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, she’s really proven that she’s come so far!
