Next week's dramatic Casualty episode sees Faith and Dylan's lives left hanging in the balance after a devastating accident, while Ethan makes a life-changing decision.
1. Faith tries to make amends with Dylan…
With her marriage to Lev hanging by a thread, Faith attempts to do some damage control and reaches out to Dylan instead.
Having rejected Lev's attempts to reconcile, Faith's day takes an unexpected turn when she is forced to team up with Dylan to transfer a patient to nearby hospital, St James's.
During the awkward journey, Faith takes the opportunity to apologise to Dylan for previously calling him a liar, but he's keen to keep her at arm's length.
2. ...Until they are both left in danger
With their patient safely dropped off, paramedic Pravi offers Faith and Dylan an off-the-record lift back to the ED.
Unable to ignore the tension between him and Daith, Dylan opts to sit in the front of the ambulance with Pravi, prompting Faith to reach out to him via text instead.
However, it very quickly becomes clear that they will have far bigger things to worry about, when a lorry crashes onto the ambulance – killing Pravi instantly, and leaving Faith and Dylan in terrible danger.
3. Faith's life hangs in the balance
As the ambulance hangs over the edge of water, a dazed Dylan regains consciousness and attempts to call out to Faith.
With Faith trapped in the back of the ambulance, Dylan panics when he realises his phone is smashed, meaning he has no way of calling for help.
Although Dylan manages to scramble out of the teetering vehicle, it's a very different story for Faith – who is horrified to realise she has internal bleeding.
4. Ethan confides in Rash
As Ethan reels from his discovery about Fenisha's pregnancy, he finds himself confiding in Rash.
Ethan tells Rash that he had decided years ago not to have kids, but doesn't provide any further explanation.
When Fenisha later shows Ethan her baby scan – and implores him to consider co-parenting – he struggles to contain his emotions.
With Rash confused as to what's holding the family-orientated doctor back, Ethan finally explains that he has Huntington’s disease, and he’s terrified that he’s passed the gene onto the baby.
5. Fenisha is left devastated
Still unsure over how to handle the situation with Fenisha, Ethan is given food for thought while treating Marsha – a chef who decided not to call the police on the teenager who'd stolen her wallet.
Marsha's own experience strikes a chord with Ethan, who realises that he must trust his own judgement and not be persuaded otherwise.
As a result, Ethan tells Fenisha that he won’t be involved in the baby’s life, leaving her devastated.
6. Dylan and Faith confess their feelings
Desperate to keep a rapidly deteriorating Faith awake, Dylan addresses the elephant in the room and explains why he told her the truth about Lev.
Dylan tells Faith that she deserves to be treated better, and in turn, she tells Dylan that he's more than just a friend to her.
Fearing that he's about to lose Faith forever, Dylan bites the bullet and tells her he loves her, while she admits that she feels the same. But is this the end for Faith?
7. Leon makes friends
Newcomer Leon is keen to hit the ground running next week, and inviting his new colleagues to a karaoke night after work. Sadly, no one is prepared to give Leon the time of day, leaving him deflated.
Leon also tries to connect with Lev on their shift together, but he's too distracted by Faith's absence.
After a difficult shift, Leon is left feeling more lonely than ever – until Marty, Robyn and Jade show up and invite him over for drinks. They still aren't sold on karaoke though...
Casualty airs these scenes on Saturday, January 23 on BBC One.
