Have you already been to Australia before and been to all the main cities and the touristic places? That's great, but now you may start to feel like you're running out of things to do in Australia. Well, there's a lot more you can do than just shopping, dining and visiting tourist hotspots when you're travelling. How about you try to do something a little different and more exciting next time you visit Australia?
You won't really need that much money if you plan out these activities properly. In fact, some of these activities can even be free. If you've run out of ideas and want to do something out of the box, GET.com has come up with these 5 things you can do while you're in Australia for less than $100.

1. Go On A Road Trip
If you have a driver's license (which most of you do, I'm sure) then you have to rent a car while you're in Australia. Road tripping is one of the best ways to see Australia, in my opinion. You just never know what you'll come across while you're out on the road.
But isn't renting a car expensive? Only if you don't do enough research because there are plenty of companies that offer cheap car rental rates. The longer you rent the car, the cheaper it gets most of the time. Plus, if you're going road tripping with friends, splitting the costs would definitely allow you to spend less than $100.
One of the most common road trips in Australia (which also happens to be very popular around the world) would be The Great Ocean Road in the state of Victoria. The highlight of this road trip would, of course, be seeing the 12 Apostles. But don't just zoom your way through the trip, everything is a mark of beauty while you're on your way there, so make sure you take the time to look at what your surroundings have to offer.
2. Be A Beach Bum
If you don't already know, Australia has some of the best beaches in the world - three of them make up the top 25 in the world. If you love being under the sun and don't mind getting sand in your hair, the beaches in Australia are going to be such a treat for you.
If you're going to Australia just for the beaches then Queensland is the state you'll want to be in. It is called the sunshine state for a reason. There's the famous Surfer's Paradise in the Gold Coast, but there are other beaches you can go to if you're looking for a little more exclusivity, like Main Beach, which is along the same stretch of beach except that it's not as crowded.
Of course, we can't talk about beaches and not talk about Bondi beach in Sydney. Other than the purpose of uploading a photo on Instagram, you have to go to Bondi beach for that million dollar view from the infinity pool. The best part is that you only have to pay for transport to get to the beach.
3. Adventure Camping
Okay, so maybe this might go a little bit beyond $100, but it's definitely value for money. There are plenty of packages you can sign up for in Australia that will take you out camping for a couple of days. Most of the the time these packages also include adventure activities like rock climbing, abseiling and bush walking.
I've been to one adventure camp in Perth for a school trip. We spent 4 days at the campsite where we could see thousands of stars every night and also travelled to places like the Margaret River where we kayaked and paddle boarded. We were also lucky enough to explore Giant's Cave. The highlight of the camping trip however was abseiling down a 52metre cliff that was facing the Indian Ocean.
If you think about it, these are the things that you can't do on your own (unless you're a professional). So the next best thing is to do it the old school way through an adventure camp. Trust me, it'll be worth every single dollar.
4. Look Out For Farmer's And Artists' Markets
If I had to pick my favourite thing about Australia, it would be the farmer's and artists' markets that happen quite often throughout the year.
Everything about the markets is great. The groceries are cheap (especially when you buy them in bulk) but even if you don't need any, going to the markets just for the vibe and the live performances is a good enough reason.
And don't forget to get yourself some freshly made artisan coffee when you're there.
5. Visit Galleries And Museums
I know this sounds super boring and typical, but it's free and you get to learn a thing or two, so why not.
A couple of museums you can consider going to would be the contemporary art or modern art museums, like the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney because of how relevant they are in today's society.
There are also a couple of galleries, like the Queensland Art Gallery, that also display the artwork of Aboriginal people in Australia.
