5 Signs You Are Undateable

This article was originally on GET.com at: 5 Signs You Are Undateable

Even though the trend in Singapore shows young people tying the knot later and later in life, you still don't see yourself settling down with another human being just yet. In fact, going on dates is as lame as playing with the Siri function on your iPhone when nobody's looking. You are undateable and invincible.

Here, we at GET.com present to you the 5 signs that scream you're undateable. Feel free to add on in the comments section below if you have other brilliant justifications why you haven't brought your steady girl/boyfriend home to say hello to your mother!

5 Signs You Are Undateable

1. You Work All Day, Every Day

"Where got time?" is your most-used response each time your mother or concerned buddy grills you regarding your perpetually single status. The last time you dated was probably during your university exchange programme to Croatia many years ago. That one-night fling you had at Zouk didn't count, of course.

You make earning a keep your one and only purpose of living, and you commit 20 hours a day to your job. You're probably scarred for life how practical the majority of human beings are because "no money, no honey".

Would you like to improve this and become more datable? Here are 12 tips to achieve a better work-life balance.

2. You Want Things Your Way Every Single Time

Just in case you didn't know, a relationship involves the element of compromise. Regardless of how similar two individuals are, there are bound to be times when they don't see eye to eye on matters, ideas, decisions, etc.

So, if you're the kind who wants things your way all the time and you hate ideas or suggestions given by anyone other than yourself, you're probably going to be alone for many, many more years to come.

3. You Fear Commitment

Dating once or twice can be fun and ultra light-hearted, but if your date wants to take things further and you're unfortunately stuck in your own little bubble, you probably fear commitment. Either that or you didn't actually like him/her that much.

Anyhow, commitment is the crux to a steady long-term relationship. If you've already realised this bugging issue long ago which is why you stopped going on dates, thank you very much - for not breaking any more hearts - player.

If you fear commitment, you're certainly not marriage material either, at least not right now. Here you can see the 5 signs that you're not marriage material (women's edition) and the 5 signs that you're not marriage material (men's edition).

4. You're Impossibly Shy

You blush even when the old uncle at the MRT station near your place smiles at you in the morning. Okay, that's a bit too exaggerated but you get what I mean.

You're so shy you can't even talk to anyone except your parents without feeling strange. How can you even bring yourself to engage in some fun times meeting and talking to another fellow homo sapien?

5. You Have Zero Interest In Spending Time With Another Human Being

Who needs a date when you can spend some quality time with your pet dog or Netflix or K-dramas? You've embraced being lonely and you don't need anybody in your life, except your immediate family members, of course.

You see absolutely no reason in dating. Besides, you have zero interest in spending time with another person. So, why waste time and money? You could use your spare time to chiong 8 more K-drama episodes online in one sitting, leh.
