Destress by doing yoga and pilates, going for a jog, playing with your pets, listening to music, painting your nails, sipping your favourite tea or anything that will help you unwind, really! It doesn't hurt to stand up for what you believe in and stay away from pretentious, toxic people, too.

2. Dedicate Me-Time To Yourself

With so many different things in life that demand our attention, many of us always end up losing precious me-time for ourselves. So, if you're one of those people who has lost invaluable time to do the things you truly enjoy, the best solution is to for you to devote 'me-time' to yourself and make sure you stick by it unwaveringly.

Be it appreciating or making art, playing the piano, giving yourself a pampering and relaxing routine at night, binge-watching your favourite TV programmes, reading a good book, rejuvenating yourself at the spa or shopping for the occasional indulgences, it's all good so long as you enjoy it to the fullest.

Also, I trust that you'll pay yourself a compliment and give yourself a pat on the back for working so hard, for being there for your family and friends all the time, okay?

3. Catch Up On Sleep

Admit it, you have eye bags and dark eye circles that are perpetually plastered onto your face, don't you? Having adequate, restful shut-eye is an incredibly important part of living well and recharging our fatigued body and soul. Although sleep is often compromised and done away as a sacrifice, it doesn't necessarily mean we can't do our best catch up on some sleep.

In any case, nobody is asking you to go to bed at 9pm sharp, okay? You know your body best, and how much sleep you need in order to be the healthiest and most productive version of yourself. And in case you haven't been able to sleep well, here are 5 things you can do to sleep better.

4. Laugh Heartily More Frequently

Life is too short to be glum and grumpy all the time. Why not loosen up, include laughter in your daily life and trudge on further and stronger as an individual instead? For the most part, there are good reasons why we all need to laugh more ASAP. After all, laughter brings a whole host of benefits we probably never thought much of.

5. Travel & Explore The World

I am of the opinion that traveling enriches us in a multitude of aspects and that it helps us see the world through different lenses. To be able to travel to different destinations in the world near or far, we're putting ourselves out there to experience and take in all the insight we possibly can.

Don't you feel psyched every time you pack your luggage, scan your mighty red passport at Changi Airport, then hop onto a plane? I don't know about you but the majority of people love going on vacations since we know holidays can do wonders to make us happier and livelier.
