3 tenants to occupy 12% of CapitaGreen

CapitaGreen, a 40-storey Grade A office building in the central business district (CBD), has secured occupants for 12 percent of its total net lettable area (NLA), according to its three owners.

CapitaLand, CapitaCommercial Trust and Mitsubishi Estate Asia, revealed that three tenants have pre-committed 81,000 sq ft of the building's total NLA of 700,000 sq ft.

Tenants include Swiss private bank Bordier & Cie that will lease 12,000 sq ft of space, an international gym operator (18,000 sq ft) and American commodities giant Cargill (51,000 sq ft).

Lynette Leong, CEO of CapitaCommercial Trust Management Limited, said: "We are pleased to welcome our first three tenants to CapitaGreen. They are established global leaders in their respective fields and we are honoured by their endorsement of CapitaGreen as their new business address in Singapore."

As for the building itself, completion is targeted by end-2014, with construction progressing smoothly, noted CapitaLand CEO Wen Khai Meng.

Located near the Raffles Place and Telok Ayer MRT stations, CapitaGreen is touted as one of the most eco-friendly buildings in the CBD, as well as the only new Grade A office building in the area.

"CapitaGreen offers truly column-free and efficient floor plates and a double-skin façade which reduces the building's solar heat gain. Premium, ultra-modern office space is further complemented by lush greenery in the sky terraces at selected floors and in the expansive roof-top sky garden, as well as unique art works by internationally renowned artists that will be tastefully integrated with the building design," Wen added.
