Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund Advisor Class FGADX aims for capital growth. The fund invests the majority of its assets in securities of gold and precious metals operation companies. The non-diversified fund also invests in American, Global and European Depositary Receipts. It may purchase securities of gold and precious metals operation companies located globally. FGADX has year-to-date returns of 31.6%.

As of September 2019, FGADX held 81 issues with 6.36% of its assets invested in B2Gold Corp.

Franklin Convertible Securities Fund Advisor Class FCSZX seeks maximum total returns through appreciation of capital and a high level of current income. FCSZX invests a major portion of its assets in convertible securities. Though FCSZX may invest all of its assets in non-investment grade securities, it invests a maximum of 10% of its assets in unrated securities or those rated below B. FCSZX has year-to-date returns of 17.3%.

FCSZX has an expense ratio of 0.60% compared with the category average of 1.15%.

Franklin Michigan Tax-Free Income Fund FRMTX aims to provide a high level of income which is exempt from federal income tax as well as Michigan personal income taxes. Further, this income is also consistent with prudent investment management as well as preservation of shareholders’ capital. FRMTX has year-to-date returns of 6.4%.
