13 Coronation Street spoilers for next week

From Digital Spy

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Note: The following article contains discussion of sexual misconduct that some readers may find upsetting.

Next week's Coronation Street episodes see the fightback against Ray intensify, as Faye goes to the police and Abi secures some incriminating audio footage.

Meanwhile, Yasmeen's traumatic past with Geoff is revisited.

Here's a full collection of 13 big moments coming up.

1. Faye confides in Craig

As tensions over Ray continue to rise on the Street, Faye feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She decides to confide in Craig, revealing that Ray tried to rape her last month.

Faye also tells Craig that her trauma led to her attacking Adam in a case of mistaken identity. Craig advises that it's best to be honest rather than continuing the cover-up, so Faye agrees to accompany him to the station and tell the police everything.

2. Ray is threatened by Mick

Ray faces a dangerous enemy of his own when Mick throws him out the back of his van and orders him to settle an unpaid debt within 24 hours. Mick is the dangerous gangster who was last seen threatening Todd as part of the schemer's return storyline.

It's clear that Ray is struggling with financial issues, which only get worse when Susan – chairperson of the planning committee – demands another £20,000 for her recent cooperation with the development.

Ray ends up having to use money that he'd earmarked to buy Number 4 and Number 6 in order to pay off Mick and Susan, leaving Debbie disgusted that their development plans are in jeopardy.

3. Ray is arrested

After Faye tells the police everything, Tim is concerned about the possible implications for his daughter. He fears that Faye could be locked up for attacking Adam and bitterly blames Craig, accusing him of manipulating Faye in order to secure a promotion in the police force.

Later, Ray is arrested on suspicion of attempted rape.

4. The Platts prepare to move out

Unaware that Ray's house of cards may be starting to crumble, the Platts plough ahead with their forced move. They pack up their belongings and prepare to set up home on Shona's old estate.

Gail is unimpressed by the situation and tells Nick that she's too old to be "slumming it" in rough surroundings. Nick is left to consider whether he'll let Gail move in with him and Sam instead.

David is intrigued when he later gets a tip-off that Ray is experiencing cashflow problems, which could put the development in trouble. He threatens to stay put at Number 8, but Ray warns that the Platts will be turfed out if they pull a stunt like that.

5. Yasmeen stands up for herself

Yasmeen is also concerned to hear that Ray's funds for her own house sale haven't come through. She has already packed up most of her belongings, but tells Alya that she won't be going anywhere until Ray's promised money is sitting in her bank account.

Yasmeen seems more like her old self as she promises that she won't let Ray bully her like Geoff did. Alya is proud of her gran for standing up for herself.

6. Alya and Abi support Faye

Although Ray is questioned by the police over the attack on Faye, he is ultimately released. Abi, Alya and Faye are all stunned to see him walking around the Street like nothing has happened.

Alya shows support to Faye by reporting Ray for the time he lured her to a hotel bedroom with the intention of having sex. She hopes this will help to add weight to Faye's case.

Meanwhile, Abi pays a visit to Ray's hotel in the hope of digging up some new dirt on him. She strikes gold when she catches him talking to Susan about the bribes and secretly records their conversation.

7. Faye confesses all to Adam

DS Willets visits Adam at the solicitor's office and asks more questions about the night of the attack, confirming that new evidence has come to light.

Faye later fills in the blanks by paying her own visit to Adam and telling him everything. Adam is shocked to realise that Gary is innocent and has been wrongly put on remand.

Tim also speaks to Adam separately about the situation. He is relieved when Adam confirms that he doesn't want to see Faye punished for the attack under the circumstances. Adam has already told the police this, but will his leniency be taken into account?

8. Abi offers a deal to Ray

Debbie is rapidly losing patience with Ray's behaviour and urges him to sign the business over to her so she can salvage things, but he refuses to consider this.

Later, Ray's bad week gets worse as Abi confronts him with the evidence she has. She promises to get rid of the incriminating recording, but only if he admits to the assault on Faye.

9. Abi's showdown with Ray goes wrong

After giving Ray time to think over her ultimatum, Abi later meets him in the back yard of the Rovers Return. He confirms that he is willing to confess to the assault on Faye, if Abi agrees to delete the video.

All of a sudden, Ray's true intentions become clear as Abi becomes dizzy and suffers a mysterious collapse. This allows Ray to grab Abi's phone, hoping to delete the evidence.

Debbie stumbles across the worrying scene and goes to call an ambulance for Abi, but Ray has other ideas and takes the phone from her hand. As Ray orders Debbie to help him out of his mess, will they let Abi die?

10. Yasmeen has a panic attack

Although Yasmeen made positive progress earlier in the week, she faces a tough time when she returns to work at Speed Daal. Yasmeen suffers a panic attack at the restaurant and confides in Elaine about how she can't get Geoff out of her mind.

Elaine sympathises with Yasmeen, advising her to spend some time doing things that Geoff would have hated and treat this as a kind of therapy.

A friendship between the two survivors grows when Elaine offers to help out at Speed Daal and Yasmeen offers her a week's trial.

11. Dylan returns

Sean is worried when he receives a call from Violet, who reveals that Dylan has been suspended from school. Dylan is already on his way to Manchester to spend some time with Sean.

When Dylan arrives, he initially refuses to reveal anything about the reasons for his suspension. However, he eventually opens up over how he's being bullied by the other kids because his dad is gay.

Sean decides that Dylan needs a fresh start and invites him to come and stay in Manchester permanently, promising that they can get their own flat. Dylan is delighted by the offer.

Sean's promise to Dylan pushes him on to spend more time on his make-up sales business, hoping to bring in as much money as possible. As Sean's venture is a pyramid scheme, this starts to impact on his friends and neighbours.

Sean pressures Gemma to sign up her friend Vanessa to the sales team and talks it up in front of their new target. Privately, Gemma warns Vanessa not to be fooled as the whole concept is a rip-off.

Gemma later comes clean with Sean, telling him that she can't afford to pay him his commission and wants out of the scam altogether. However, Sean warns that if they can't come up with the promised money, they'll both be sued.

13. Michael fears Grace will leave

Grace delivers some bad news to Michael, admitting that she's planning to move to Hull to live with a relative. Michael panics over this, not wanting to be an absentee father to their baby.

Michael makes an alternative suggestion, inviting Grace to move in with him at Number 3. But how would Grace and Aggie cope living under the same roof?
