All eyes were on the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) last week. On Aug. 10, BLS announced that the July Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), arguably the most important measure of inflation, remained unchanged from the previous month at 8.5%. One day later, the agency reported that the Producer Price Index (PPI) fell by 0.5% in July.
