| The investment seeks capital appreciation The fund invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of U.S. companies with middle market capitalizations. It invests assets in a diversified portfolio of equity securities including common stocks, preferred stocks which are convertible into common stocks, and in American depository receipts, which may constitute up to 20% of assets.
