| The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of energy-related companies. It may lend securities with up to 33 1/3% of the total assets (including the loan collateral) to qualified institutions. The fund primarily invests in domestic securities, but also invests up to 25% of assets in foreign securities. There is no limit on the market capitalization in which the fund may invest. Further, its equity investments may include publicly traded limited partnerships known as master limited partnerships.
