| The investment seeks a high level of current income with capital appreciation as a secondary objective. The fund invests in a non-diversified group of low-quality, high yield corporate bonds, convertible securities and asset-backed securities. It normally invests at least 80% of net assets in corporate bonds rated Baa by Moody's or BBB by S&P or lower. The fund may also invest in corporate issues that have defaulted.
