The Forward Air segment offers its transportation services primarily through a network of terminals located at or near airports in the United States and Canada. The FASI segment provides pool distribution services in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest continental United States. Its pool distribution services include managing high-frequency handling and distribution of time-sensitive product to various destinations in specific geographic regions. This segment serves distributors and specialty retailers, such as mall, strip mall, and outlet-based retail chains through a network of terminals and service centers located in 19 cities. It also targets customers in hospitality, healthcare, lawn and garden, and publishing industries. The company was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Greeneville, Tennessee.
