GE trims exposure in Greece

The industrial conglomerate said it's built firewalls and minimized its business in Greece, Bloomberg said, based on comments by a GE Europe and N. Asia executive. General Electric (GE) is the latest company to back off from business in Greece as its economic situation worsens. The statement came the same day French retail giant Carrefour also said it would pull out of the country and sell its share in a supermarket. United Technologies (UTX) said Thu. that Europe's situation is worse than expected. GE shares rose 1.4% to 20.00.
