Europe's main stock markets inched higher at the start of trading on Friday, as traders awaited US monthly jobs data.
London's FTSE 100 index of top companies gained 0.03 percent to 5,902.95 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index won 0.07 percent to 7,539.78 points and in Paris the CAC 40 climbed 0.14 percent to 3,606.74.
