Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Thursday, mirroring weakness in Asia, after the US Federal Reserve announced only muted stimulus and following weak Chinese data.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index dropped 0.53 percent to 5,593.02 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.54 percent to 6,357.25 points and in Paris the CAC 40 lost 0.50 percent to 3,111.03.
